From the 2009 Arkansas Game and Fish Commission Fishing Guidebook;
Up to 30 yo-yos (or similar
mechanical devices) per person may be used as
long as they are not left unattended (out of sight
or hearing) during daylight hours, and no more
than one is hung from a line, wire, limb or support.
Yo-yos must be labeled with the owner’s name and
address or vehicle operator’s license number, or
current vehicle license number of the person using
such equipment.
This is the most violated part of our state's regulations on the use of yo-yos. They have to be in sight or hearing during the day. I see folks set them and forget them all too often. I have used them in the past and will again in the future. I follow the regs and don't abuse my privileges, and it is a privilege, not a right.
D-Ray, I must say I really enjoyed those two videos and congratulation on the catches. I think more information like this is a good thing.
Oh, and don't take what I've said here about yo-yos personally. It was in no way meant to be. I was just pointing out that the rules for yo-yos are a bit more strict than most of us see/hear about being enforced. As far as I'm concerned, good onya, well done, and more please.
