Default Tired of high water on Nimrod

This is a flood control lake but these record rainfalls suck. If I looked at the data right we have had above normal water levels in over 1/2 the months in the last 3 years! I don't really want a drought , but a drier spring and normal lake level would be great. I think the rain fall set a record in 2009 of over 80'' here.

Everytime Greers get just about clear another big rain comes and muddies it back up.

We plan on driving down to check out the camp grounds Wed. I'm wondering if they are flooded or not. If you would let me know.

    Thanks

Nim, this year has really made the fishing tough for many of us. We rely on local knowledge such as yours for advice and to help find and catch some fish. Don is another good example of this. He knows his area and how to catch fish there.

When the locals are confused and are hunting and pecking to find the fish you know its a weird year. Its been terrible for me as far as catching goes, but as for fishing its been great. Met lots of nice folks, many from this board, and seen some beautiful spots.

Keep the faith brother, it can't rain forever. We'll get a bit of dryer weather before long I hope. And thanks for the pics and for the information you've shared. We do appreciate it. More than we say sometimes, but never the less, we appreciate it.

Campgrounds are out of the water. The level is still a few feet above normal.

Been fighting the same thing on Degray. I'm hoping by the time it warms up a little bit (above 40) that the lake will be back down to normal.

Just checked lake levels http://www.swl-wc.usace.army.mil/WCD...ly/lakfcst.txt and it looks like they are starting to let some water out of most of the lakes.

Man that link is awesome Creek. Why do we not have a sticky to links like that on our board? I noticed some other states have stickys with lake levels n them. I have not got to work much here lately so I have been trespassing on other boards:p
