Thank you, Chris! I absolutely love this rod because it allows me to detect very subtle nibbles and bites that bedding redear are known for.

What amazes me is the way I can then gently lift the pole skyward and it effectively sets the hook. There is no hard hook setting motion, none really needed with this equipment. It seems like I was always exercising a much greater amount of energy in my hooking actions with cheap Bass Pro models, meaning much harder hook sets.

These rods don't require a hard hookset at all.
