Looks like a nice rod, I am sure the resident Guru will chime in on the blank used but I have no problems with any Major Craft rod that I own. I will say the Mebaru rod will have a little more limber tip on it, it will probably not feel as rigid as the as Triple Cross when you give it a good shake. The 7.3 is right in my wheelhouse when it comes to length, but I fish from the elevated deck of a glass boat most of the time in the warmer months. I noticed from an earlier post you made reference to a slip bobber set up on the Triple Cross. I would think a Mebaru rod would load up just as well or even a little better than the Ajing rod and give it a good whirl out there.
