Maybe Disco will chime in....he has fished UL glass rods before. Its been more than 40 years since Ive owned any glass. But as I said not much glass in that rod at 1.8 ounces. It is considered a hybrid....glass/graphite. It is going to be a stronger rod than the all graphite model. Used a lot by trout fisherman. The minus side to the rod is it is less sensitive than the all graphite rod. But in the end I think you have a great rod there.
