I fished Barron Fork this morning, water is down about two feet and 64 degrees at daylight. Same fishing as Limestone (jig and bobber) just shallower water. Most of Barron Fork is only a couple feet deep now, but still, plenty of fish. I kept 18 or 19 (forgot my counter so I'll get a good count then I clean them) and returned about twice that many larger fish. Little bity Crappie were everywhere. Another great morning.

Ended up with 19. Not bad for a half day on the water. Tossed back over 30 that were larger than these but nothing huge, just a lot of 12 inchers. Back in the spring I was a little worried about Wheeler have a poor spawn. I probably tossed back 50 little 4-to-6-inch Crappie today. Looks like at least this area had a few spawners.
Fun times for sure!
