They are good durable poles. I have had and been using mine some 40 plus years. I had two & give one to my son. He loves catching grinnel with his or red fish which is a hoot on a pole like that. The objective catching bigger fish with them is don’t let them get the line straight out the end of pole or game over. Like I stated in early post there just heavy. I have caught a truck load of bull bream and crappie on mine.
