Anyone ever heard of still reels of Toledo Ohio?I was at my brother in laws today and we were in his garage. His father in law had given him a bunch of old rod and reels. There were a couple of those. They were on telescopic hollow rods. They don’t have eyelets, the line goes through the hollow rod. He gave me one on a 10 ft pole. Just wondered if they are any good and worth cleaning up and trying.

I remember seeing them in catalogs from the 70s and 80s but never handled one.

Go to B&M website and look up the Cadillac combo and see if its not the same rod or close to it

Wishing everyone hard hits tight lines and heavy stringers
I hadn't seen that exact one, but I have seen them the the line going thru the rod. I hadn't fished with one, but my first thought was I bet its a little aggravating to get the line back thru if it was to break off up inside the rod..... Maybe its not though. I would definitely give it try for jigging anyways, especially if its free. You might find a new favorite rod.

I’ve seen those before and IIRC the reel isn’t for reeling in fish, it’s just for letting more line out. They’re like a cane pole, or bream buster with a reserve of line on them.

With a b&m Cadillac combo whey come with a wire with a white button on the end for threading the line through the hollow tube
