Well I am surprised that the largest fish winner was only a little over 2 lbs.......... as many fish are in Weiss out of all those caught I figured it would take something at least 2 and half of better. Looks like the Big G has the upper hand on what I have seen this winter on big black crappie .I have managed several over 2.4 fishing bridges all winter
and some of my bank buddies that fish a lot more than me have been getting a lot of big ones .Weiss has the numbers per acre over the big G but then again its a lot smaller lake. There are still some Weiss guides that will run clients up to Guntersville .Saw a video they made about a year ago fishing at Town creek long lining!!

Weiss was so muddy saturday that beagles were running rabbits back and forth across the coosa river. Wind at 10 to 15 also big factor. You are right about size. Guntersville has bigger Crappie over all than Does Weiss. May be because its much bigger has a lot of grass to allow them to hide and grow. Also many more white crappie in Big G than in Weiss

Fishing was tuff, wind, muddy water, Al. Power was pulling the plug, all of this makes for a tuff tournament. Weights should have been 14 to 16 lbs. The fish weight is there just bad conditions.
