The middle of March is usually a great time to be fishing on Weiss Lake. The Cowan Creek area is a great place to start during this time and Pop Rivers also listed a lot of other great areas that are close by for you to fish. As far as the type of jigs to use, everyone has their favorites...but I fish with Southern Pro Hot Grubs on 1/16 or 1/32 ounce jig heads. If you do not have any, stop by and see BJ at the Weiss Mart Marina in Cedar Bluff to get them. They are the only marina on the lake that carries them and he has ALL of the great colors!
