NICE video Ditch ...but.....My kayak is FAR more stable than I ever thought it would be and I don't ever see myself "going in the drink" as long as I'm SITTING in it. I think a lot of folks that haven't fished from a yak are concerned about flipping it ...I know I was. All I can say is -I think you'll be surprised at how stable they are. As you well know from fishing with me ... the PROBLEM is getting in, and out - especially OUT. IF (big if) you can find a very gently sloped bank where you can scoot yourself onto land - then it's not a problem. Our "sit inside's" have mostly round bottoms that are just great as long as your butt is firmly planted in the bottom - but ANY effort to raise up - and unless the 'yak is on solid ground, you're goin' swimmin'. Now this Native thing is cool - it's basically got 2 pontoons on it and it's easy to see why it's so stable. Still -I aint gonna stand up in it....kneel? maybe - but why? The "sit on tops" have their advantages - just being able to move your legs around is nice ...but when the wind kicks up a bit and it's white capping...I like my "sit inside".
