Anyone fishing Smith Lake?

A friend has a house on Smith and I am going to be there from 6-26 to 7-1. I have fished Smith all of my life but I have never fished it for crappie during the summer. Anyone catching anything there?

How was your trip? I'm going to stay on Smith Lake from Aug. 4th -11th. I'm looking for a crappie guide but havent found any information yet.

The trip itself was awesome. A great time was had with great friends, great food, pretty weather for the most part. But the crappie? Not so much. We did catch a few at night around lights but nothing to write home about. We did catch several bass early in the morning on top water (most were in the slot) but I did manage 1 that was 4lb+. We also had some set hooks out and got a few flatheads. One was 36lbs. When I get home tonight I will post a couple pictures of the biggest ones.

I was supposed to go back to Smith Friday for the weekend but I was called in to work all weekend. Can't turn down that OT money yanno.
