    Default Trolling at the Dub...

Had a good day yesterday trolling Bandit 300's, mostly perch color. Caught 25 and two cats. One cat was huge and took my brand new Bandit! Didn't make it to the boat but had to be over 10 pounds. Sac's were on the small side but caught a few nice ones right before I left. Good eating.. I'm having fun trolling!Name: IMG_1065.jpg

My daughter had a big cat last year around this time that surprised the heck out of me that ones that big hang out where I normally fish crappie (I knew the smalls one did). I was lucky that it didn't break the line after a long fight and it was on one of the tougher trolling rods.

Maybe I'll get a chance to pull cranks or spider rig next weekend.
If I'm not at work or taking kids to their activities, you might find me on "The Rez" fishing. If not there, I could be in the garage working on my boat.

I was surprised when it hit, it almost jerked the rod out of the holder. I caught a six foot needle gar on one of my crank baits last Monday! It was tough to get the crank bait from him. I had to let him ride along side the boat for a long time then I was able to get my pliers on the back treble hook. He tore the treble hook of the split ring and took it with him! Check out this video that I made about my recent trips.
