I had the other 4 tamales over extra sharp cheddar grits this morning with 2 over easy eggs gracing the top. Full as a tick after that meal.

you know I ain't had me any grits since I was lil , my dad and that side of my family were from Louisiana and lots of what they ate I got to eat as well . they were not rich folk and ate lots of black eyed peas and cornbread and grits and the other more affordable types of vittles . Any fish that wasn't 2 foot long was just bait to them peeps....and ...
I always ate my grits with butter , milk and cinnamon and sugar ....sometimes we subbed with honey instead of the sugar ....but...
