I tell my wife all the time it's wonderful to open the dresser and see it always full of clean clothes. I hate doing laundry mainly because I'm bad at it. Your bride will enjoy the new machines as much as you do.

I took a break yesterday after the Geek Squad finished the install. Still had the bottom of the dryer vent to install and attach. I can now say...Done, Done and Done. I will thank the installers for switching sides on the machines. now both doors swing out to opposite sides instead of meeting in the middle. Makes it easier to load clothes from the washer, now on the left, to the dryer, now on the right, without having both doors in the way...Momma's Happy. Now if these winds will die down just a bit, I'll go wet a line, without being blown off the bridge...just sayin'

Here's Ms Joyce's new Purtie's...made by Samsung. The washer is the 5.0 and the dryer is the 7.0...ALL I care about is she's happy. She said no one ever asked her which one you want. It had always been, well we can get this one so that's what you get...She's happy, I'm happy...Attachment 502234Attachment 502235

Weeeell. She is too happy. Informed me over dinner that the dinning area through the kitchen is next. Oh boy!!!I agreed, as it does need to be done. This mobile home was manufactured in 1973, and all the flooring is pretty much original, as is the 1/8th inch inside wall panels. I am not going to replace stuff that is still good. We are donating this place to whom ever wants it when we get the Settlement from Camp Lejune. So I'm just doing what I have to, to keep it together. It's really not that bad.

I'm taking some much-needed recoup time for my knee, every time I put pressure on the knee, padded or not, it feels like a thousand needles trying to penetrate it. Not a good feeling. I did tell Ms Joyce when I start the dining area, I was only doing one 4'x8' area at a time. Pull up that much, pull All the staples from the joists, yes, when being built, these mobile homes are held together with 3" long staples, do any bracing I have to, then put the sheet of OSB down...secure with Star (Torx) Drive Screws. Move on to the next sheet. Sounds simple and easy, but I can pretty much guaranty, something will go wrong, and Life will get in the way...Anyway, when it's all covered with the OSB, Vinyl floor going down. Dinning area has two areas, and around the back door, that is getting some new wall covering. The two in the dining area is the faux red brick with black grout, and the area around the back door is just plain 1/8" panel and will be painted the same as the Laundry room. I'll probly start a new thread for the rest of the floor. One never knows what you'll find in these...
