Well, I tried to find a reason.... fail! Sucks that a few voices can dictate.

Regardless of how they confine you, I hope you Carolina fellas show them how it's done. I was contemplating fishing it but (a) don't have a partner down here that's ready to grind it out for 2 days and (b) just checked my calendar and it's not pretty.

There are tournament-quality fish up and down the lake and FWIW, I turned a few hammers in that nasty weather Saturday.

Absolutely there are fish up and down to the lake. Plenty of 13 to 14 pound bags below the Shrine Club. Went to Potts yesterday with Miller, Blevins and Clayton. Big fish was 3.09 and best 7 was just over 15. Amazing spot to fish. Kinda glad people wont go up there makes it less crowded. And Potts is not the best spot up river, there are many "pot holes" that hold even better fish when the water is up. As far as NC boys, not heard of many that are gonna fish due to the off limits. Not that they cant catch them down river, its the politics involved. You are correct a select few telling grown men when and where they can fish like school children. Oh its too dangerous, well last time I checked its my boat and Ill pull it to the ramp with no trailer if I want to. I made a video yesterday from Shrine Club to Potts but it is too long 6:57 and cant get it to load or email. Gonna post it as soon as I figure out how. One of the most pleasant, beautiful scenery, safe rides on the lake. And the lake is 3+ feet down. Never even hit a leaf.

I had a week off scheduled for it but turned it back in. Like I told Clayton and so many others, 3 or 4 tournaments I’ve placed in, were down lake and all were open up river. It CAN be done down lake. One I should’ve done better in but fished poorly but had the right fish all around.

Safety is just a BS excuse if the rest of the main lake is open from Second to Swearing. I pucker up running it every time I’m there and it’s not the second day in a row (meaning I’ve got a clean track marked from the day before).
Thanks Leudy1 thanked you for this post
