    I've been playing with the tilt on the transducer like one of you mentioned. I'm surprised how far down the ducer can be tilted and still show up a good picture. There's a point where it becomes worse, but it definitely needs to be tilted front down a good bit.

    I haven’t tried perspectives mode.
    Is there a max depth where it ceases to function, well?

    I haven't tried it in over about 8-10 FOW. I do know when crossing a creek channel, you lose all bottom contact. You can see suspended fish, but just black for the bottom.

    Perspective mode does not require bottom to work. Therefore, you can tilt the transducer for suspended fish at most any depth. I’ve done this up to 60 feet of water. It’s nice when schooling fish are chasing bait.
