    Default SV and weed beds

I have never used side imaging but just ordered a Garmin Striker. I am wondering how detecting fish in weed beds work out. Possible... not possible?

    Default SV and weed beds

Maybe yes ... maybe no ...

Side Imaging is looking at a 30° angle to each side ... so it depends if the fish is buried in the weeds or above the weeds that can be discerned from the weeds ...

NOTE: Imagine a flashlight shining 30° to each side .. if it a fish is above the weeds - it may be illuminated by the flashlight ... if a fish is buried in the weeds - it may not be illuminated by the flashlight ...-
