I would try the old boat basin below Ky dam, other than that I don't know of any spots off the bank.

Hello folks, my wife and I are making a trip up to stay in Grand Rivers over Memorial Day weekend. Wondering if anybody has any information they can share on places to fish from the bank while up there, preferably for crappie if that is a possibility on Kentucky Lake this time of year? Any marinas that allow fishing from piers or docks?

If it is open, the day use Moss creek has access to the water. Several picnic tables. Restroom facility. Lengthy shoreline in both directions. A walking trail leading from it. There is foot access to both sides of the channel from their parking lots. Physical exertion is required in several of these edges. Most bays on both sides have roads leading to them from the Trace. Several areas have good banks to fish from.

Also if you drive down the trace and over to energy lake. The lake dam and ramp has a lot of fishing. Both sides of dam. The ramp area. Take the first road to the left after crossing it will go to the mouth with a lot of shoreline one can fish. I believe the Taylor bay campground right before that will be open with a lot of shore area to fish. It’s on the Barkley side.

If you drive to new bridge at Kenlake it was designed with paved walkways with fishing asses to water. Go to the amphitheater and you have access to the shoreline all the way to the Kenlake marina. If you go to Ky dam marina and the ramp area by the beach you will have amp,e shoreline to fish. Just a few off the top of my head. Good luck.

I can't imagine the crowds this coming weekend. For bank spots, I would recommend driving through LBL and checking out the multitude of places to fish to try and find a spot that isn't overly crowded.
The pea gravel bank to the left of the boat ramp (mainlake side) of Nickel Branch should produce a nice amount of channel cats, the spawn/feeding frenzy should be in full swing this coming weekend.
The levee on the road to Demumbers campground has a ton of brush sunken by KDFWR that's all within a cast from the bank - should be good redear fishing along these, as well as channel cats.
Smith Bay campground is another good pea gravel bank that goes all the way around the campground. There are even stake beds within casting distance in the back (far right of the boat ramp).
Where Road 120 B ends in water in Demumbers is a good spot, the spot where 120 B ends in water on the other side/to the east is also a good bank spot (there's a gravel bar horseshoe that creates a little protected pocket). 36°59'19.5"N 88°08'43.0"W
Energy Lake can be decent. 36°51'33.7"N 88°00'52.3"W
For close/easy spots, that will probably be crowded:
The pier and shore at the Lighthouse Landing Jetty is always popular/crowded, very easy spot to get to and fish. 37°00'07.1"N 88°14'36.8"W
There are also designated fishing piers below KY Dam.
Payne Street right in Grand Rivers offers bank fishing for a backwater area off of Barkley: 37°00'16.3"N 88°13'42.0"W
The canal fishing area was still closed this weekend, not sure what it's status will be next weekend: 36°59'20.5"N 88°13'27.4"W
The Sledd Creek boat ramp offers a lot of pea gravel shoreline around it, might find some redear along it: 36°57'58.2"N 88°16'59.1"W
BankBound thanked you for this post
ArtCarney, thanks for the info. I think I may come down in June and try the Bluegill out. Lots of nice places listed. Tired of trying to catch a decent size fish in my 2 FNS lakes, catch 100, 5 over 6 inches.
