Big fish are in 6-12 FOW. Check back of coves. If it was me, I would head to Double Branches.

GOING TO RICHLAND CREEK SIDE OF OCONEE THIS WEEKEND. ANY ADVICE MUCH NEEDED.
Richland Creek side and especially Double Branches has been slow for me the last two weeks.I have heard several reports from friends that the Swords area has been producing good numbers of big fish.Thats where i'll be Friday and Saturday.
Swords was slow this weekend, marked lots of fish, but they had lockjaw. Did manage 15 keepers, which from talking to other boats was about middle of the board as far as numbers.
For the Everlasting Glory of the Infantry.litewirehooker thanked you for this post
Fished swords area Monday and did okay, had to struggle for them and saw that most of the fish caught up there were throw backs. Got reports from Tuesday and today and they were not good. Most of the creeks on Oconee should have a decent amount of fish in them but they do not from what I am hearing. I have not fished the Richland creek side this year but if I go in the next 2 days I will probably give it a try or go to another lake.
Hope to try Double Branches tomorrow afternoon. Will try and give a report on how I do.
I had two friends who did OK in Richland Thursday. Three of us are going to spread out next Tuesday. One boat back to Richland, one to Sugar Creek, and one to the Lick Creek area.
Let yall know next Wednesday.
Went to sugar creek today. Fished down stream from the bridge. Two bites, caught one nice crappie is all.
Granite shoals 10-12 ' Under bridge. Early morn and afternoon. Caught some good fish in there on left and right side. Pink head / Wally World and green silver sparkle tail. Some on blue green
Thank you for the report, be on oconee this friday, trying swords area.
