    Default A Work Of Art

I was lucky enough to win the auction knife that Slackline offered for Jackson. He's been working on it after he and I had a few conversations. He did an unreal job and even upgraded the knife to Damascus with an Amber Stag handle. I'm giving it to my daughter as a very special father/daughter heirloom gift.

I thought I would share the progress of the knife. It's ready now and off to the leather guy for a sheath.

Thank You Slackline for an outstanding job. It will be cherished by our family for generations to come. Beautiful Work my friend!!!!!!

    The finished Damascus knife.

It'll be my daughters choice. It's a really top shelf piece of art, but it's still a knife. The way it's made I wouldn't hesitate to use it. Quality isn't just in the looks, it's in the functioning also. Look at the stuff Slackline tested it on. It's a USABLE piece of art if you choose to. "The Proof of the Pudding is in the Making". This is quality inside and out. A Work Of Art

I seriously doubt she'll ever really use it. If she does, I hope I'm right there with her. A Work Of Art

Dang Bill, you're going make me blush.
Hearing you talk about your daughter struck a chord with me, being a doting father myself. I sure hope she likes it and that the smile one her face is even close to the one with the deer.

I also want to thank you for your generosity in the benefit auction.

It is definitely made with the intent of performing the tasks that a hunting knife could be called on for. I forgot to get a picture of it, but in the testing I also chopped on a shed elk antler. I don't want to make a knife that will not perform and excel.

I am delivering it to the sheath maker tomorrow.
