    Default Snow fishing

So how many of you guys are going to get out in the cold this weekend and fish? I've pretty much thrown the towel in with the ducks and rigged the boat back up for crappie so I'm going to give it a whirl Sunday. I think this will be my coldest crappie trip so if anyone feels like giving some advice on where I should start looking for some fish it would be greatly appreciated!

Be sensitive and still over deep brush...... shivering will give your jig too much action. The thump has become an anemic peck.

I was kinda thinking about it this afternoon if it starts snowing big snowflakes heavily. The biggest bunch of big speckled slabs I ever got into was in January on the Petite Jean river while big silver-dollar sized flakes were falling, fishing white jigs about 4-5 ft deep. I've always wanted to re-create that moment, but don't know if I'm brave (or crazy) enough to give it a shot today.

It would be awful tuff getting up and down a boat ramp here today.

Ya that's probably the only ducks I'll be hunting until next season. Luckily I got into em pretty good the start of the season so I have a few in the freezer along with three deer. But the one thing I want, fried crappie, I'm completely out of so I've got the bug pretty bad to find some.

Burrrr it is 2 degrees in Fayetteville this morning. A few weeks ago when it got this cold, some of the areas we fish on Beaver, the water got pretty hard.
