Well finally made it to Henderson Wednesday after about a 4 month hiatus from fishing period and man "DID IT FEEL GOOD".Almost forgot what it felt like to be out on the water and enjoying the moments mother nature has to offer.Fished from 10:00 to about 2:30 and picked up 10 decent fish and kept 4 extra hook swallowers..Lots of small fish along with bream and a few catfish that were all released. All caught on shiners in about 3 FOW near Opelousas Bay and Pelba. Was good to pick up a few fish but able to catch or not it was good just to be out and about on the lake.

    Henderson...10/18.....

Daylight to noon.....man it got hot.....in degrees that is....kept 8 sacs, one Striper, one bass.....big sac 13"....threw back lots of small fish.....hung some kind of monster along the interstate.....fought it for 10 minutes....had to follow it with the trolling motor...finally got it up to where I could see it.....turned out to be a monster gar about 4 feet long and around 10" across.....it finally got off which didn't disappoint me.....can't wait for that cool weather to get here....

Bruce, Chris and I were out there also. We kept 17, but I cleaned them forgetting to take a picture. Were no big ones anyway. "D"

    Mom's pond

Well I went by mom and dad's yesterday and after tinkering with her bike for alot longer than we should have, we had a few minutes left before dark so I decided to see if I could talk some fish into biting. Well I could only talk one into biting, got a few other bites but no takers. I was going to throw him back, but mom said NO! That was supper! So I cleaned him and gave him to her, don't know what dad is going to do for supper! Caught on the same blk/chrt jig that Jlaughlin had made for me awhile back. Caught on a rod that I had won at the Darbonne gathering either last year or the year before. Only have one picture.

Went to my favorite spot BEFORE the cool front. Caught about 50 fish but lots and lots of small ones. But I did catch a few that where over 1 and 1/2 lbs. All in all great day!!!

    Good Day So Far !

My son and me went to make a hunt on maurepas wma this evening and decided to leave a lil early and bring a couple poles with us . We made one stop and caught fish for about an hour and called it quits with 18-20 fish . Caught them all off of one clump of grass connecting to some type of structure in the middle of big chene blanc on same silver hair jig as last week . Now if we can get on a deer we'll have had a good day .

We were kind of unprepared to put fish in the ice-chest but we found room !
