If I remember correctly, back in the spring y'all didn't find your fish till the night before the Crusade tourney, then ended up winning. Still time left to find em! Hang in there!

My wife and kids tagged along with me tonight for about three hours. The evening was beautiful. Water temps have begun to drop slightly. We found some 85 deg water.

My daughter snagged what I think was a carp of some sort (I'm no fisheries biologist). Her and my wife fought it for about 15 minutes while I continued to fish. My daughter tried to net the thing but it broke off. It was probably 26"-30" and had large scales. Their smiles were priceless!

I caught another Blacknose Crappie. Every one I catch has always been about 9". Wonder if there is a reason they stay small?

It's pretty neat to catch a fish you don't see very often.

No real thump at all today. Just a heaviness on the line. But they will bite when u find them.

Bubba .... was that "carp" sort of orange in color ?? (I hope so) I know there are Asian Carp in the Salt River below Taylorsville Dam ... so I'm just hoping that no one has netted their fry from down there, thinking they're Shad, then dumping the leftovers in the lake.

I can't say as I've EVER caught a Blacknose from T-ville ... but, I'm glad to see they're in there. I have caught them (years ago) from Cedar Creek Lake, and I know the Crappie stocked in Cedar Creek came from Taylorsville Lake, Ky Lake, and a couple of other state lakes. But, I don't recall hearing about any recent stocking done at T-ville ... so I wonder how they got there ??

It was orange-ish in color. It didn't look like an Asian carp.
