After a long summer of many hours of overtime at work, I'm finally getting ready to get back into the swing of things. I haven't wetted a line in almost 3 months. My brother and I have done some upgrades on the boat and we are ready to feel that thump again!
I haven't seen any reports on Tville since I last posted back in June. Is no one fishing Tville because of the boat traffic or does no one want to give up any secrets?
After a wonderful spring there I figured many would have posted throughout the summer.
Glad to be getting ready to head to the lake again!!!

I just haven't been, Bubba !! Seems like every time I made plans to go, there'd be a thunderstorm threat or scorching heat & high humidity.![]()
I'm going to try and make up for it, by fishing more often during the Fall. According to most weather predictions, we're likely in for a warmer than normal Fall period, possibly lasting well into Nov. That should give me ample time to get out there, when the air temps are <80deg.
Went today. Thumbs down. Sna trail starts the 3rd. Hope to see yall.

I have not been able to make it out to many times this summer. Due to work during the week and the armada of boats on the weekends. I have made 3 night trips with not a lot to report but small fish. I did sneak away from work on a Wednesday afternoon a few weeks ago and pulled cranks for a few hours did pick up a few keepers but the most of the fish was shorts. With deer season opening next weekend I won't be back fishing until I can get some meat for the freezer.

I took my wife and kids tonight for 3 hours. Did better than I expected. It's pretty hard to stay hard at it with the kids but we caught plenty of fish. We had a huge catfish that I couldn't do a thing with. It snapped my line before I could do a thing. Caught another catfish that kept my son occupied. 😁
The boat traffic is hard to bear. Had a guy go by real close to us at half plane while we were spider rigging. Bout blew me into the shore. Next weekend is the start to the SNA tourney trail but it is also Labor Day weekend. I'm not looking forward to the boat traffic at weigh in. We will probably be there.
Good luck to all. We will need it.
Shhh!!! Now you know there ain't no crappie in Taylorsville lake lol no but seriously the bite has been very tough as of the last couple weeks with water temps from 89* to 91* degrees in the afternoon combined with dropping water we've found fish catching a couple limits of 10.5 to 12" fish but very light bight no reel thump using black and bright colored jigs topped with a very small minnow single poling underwater stumps pretty much run and gun catch one decent fish and move to the next stump , spider rigged some piles but lots of small fish and with so many wake makers on the lake hard to set out on piles but fish seem to be suspended in 15-18 ft in 35-40 ft of water in the mouths of coves and fresh water inlets but you have to stay on the fringe to far in and lose the bite to far out lose it just the same

I hope the fall Temps bring more keepers. I've been training dogs most of the summer and haven't been able to go as much as Chad but we're back together again now. Ha.

Can anyone tell me how the morning bite has been? I work mornings and have only been able to fish in the evenings. The evening bite has been really good where I've been fishing. Seems the 6 o'clock bite is alive and well.
Thanks guys.
