they have ladders systems that you can install on your trailer makes a big difference on getting in and out the boat !!! here is one for a example !!!

Not what I am talking about. Say I unload you and go park the truck, when I come to get in the boat I will have to get wet to get in the boat, boat has too deep a V

ok, I see what you saying !!!

I'm thinking an 1880 or 2080 Ranger Angler series. It's a multi-species rig, but not quite the behemoth of the 6 series Ranger Fisherman. They have deep V hulls so I'm not sure how close you can get them to shallow shorelines. I'm particularly interested in the 1880. It has a 100" beam and maximum 150hp. If the 1880 can be beached and boarded from the front it will be high on the list for my next boat. Maybe someone who has some personal experience with one of these rigs can shed some light on the pros and cons.

Agreed. Thought about one, but have decided against it.

The youngest graduated from Ole Miss this summer, and for the first time in a long time, I have money that I can spend on myself. I am 50 years old and just bought my first four wheeler. I was 46 before I ever bought myself a boat. But after 32 years of buying crap for my kids, I am getting to buy stuff for me and my wife. It does feel pretty good!

Stratos used to make a smaller, glass deep V that I always thought looked like it would be a good Crappie boat, unfortunately I think they stopped making them within the last year or so. It was very affordable too, I think mid 20's. It did look like it was lacking on storage though. It was called the 1760DV, looked to be wide enough up front for side by side spider rigging and there were no storage compartments in the way of installing the extra bases, and there was room in the back for a good long lining or crank pulling setup. And even though it was a deep v, it wasn't too deep to where it would be difficult loading and unloading. You could get it as a dual console, single console, or walk through, the single console would have been ideal for transporting long rods.
