Keep throwing your opinions out there, fellows. This has been on my mind for some time. I am finally to the place in life that I can get a new boat. I have permission from all the applicable players (my wife), and I can purchase whatever I want. No limits. Anything. Problem is that there are to many options. I enjoy reading about what you guys who have fished in more boats have to say. Good things. Bad things. Glass v Aluminum. Hull design. Space for fishing. So many issues to think about. Maybe there is no such thing as a perfect crappie rig, but I want to get as close as I can.

If you could buy any boat for crappie fishing (spider rigging, single poleing, pulling) what would you get. Why?

Bill (BRM) I know you are switching from big aluminum to big glass. Any reason other than the fact that the big Ranger is sexier? Why did you decide to change?

if you don't have limitations don't forget to look at the walleye multi-species boats they are excellent for the type of crappie fishing you are talking about !!!!

Where we fish they are a pain in the neck, somebody is getting wet loading and unloading, too deep for our ramps. Once on the water they fish awesome but whomever is doing the truck backing they better have hip boots unless unloading where there is a dock.

I just got my first glass boat in May. We have very much enjoyed fishing out of it thus far. I was limited on how much I could spend but, I don't have any payments and she is decked out nicely! Still have plans for more toys and some upgrades....
