That's why I always run a bilge pump that runs on both a manual switch and an automatic float switch.

What G said and also check to see if it is wired to the wrong wire on the pump.
Hate to bring it up.....but have you got a history of leaving things in places for too long?????? CRAPPIE-N-LIVEWELLS?

Feel for you Mike. Hope you can salvage those batteries.Glad I moved 2 up front. Also I get a quicker hole shot and trim.I just bit the bullet and bought 2 new group 29's recently myself.The 2 I replaced were both over 3yrs. old.You just love working on things don't you?
