Smoothlures, trust me on the nibble thing just push one or two onto the hook just barely past the barb, they will take the float down just like it's live bait, I never have a problem with them letting go of it, heck I have been doing something else and looked back and no bobber, only to find that the crappie has swam to the side 5-6 feet without letting go. I mostly use threadneck jigs with this hair, they seem to hit it better around here, but now in Mississippi they use that style you have there a lot.

nice work,got a bunch of kiptail at an outdoor show.like 25 cents a piece.a little course for my bluegill flies but i also tie jigs.gonna give the it a shot
