Sounds like it was a good day to stay home as my Dizzyness with my ear has not completely gone away.

1st would like to give the weather guesser's credit for being wrong in a good way for a change, predicted winds were double digits, however, it laid down other than (2) 1/2 hr periods which seemed to be "outer bands". Was able to fish mid-NW side of Monroe & catch at least dinner & weigh 5, probably matched my lbs. on Monroe when you guys catch 7-9 lbs. Anyways, it was good to see everyone & meet a few new faces. Congrat's to team Specktacklure for best 5 tally!! Thanks for coming out to play Phantom 309, you had a couple dandy's at the scale Danny

We didn't have any problems with the wind at all = was real nice.
And, it did calm down after awhile .....
But, wasn't taking any chances, that's why I put in with you guys, if it
was going to be too windy, was prepared to fish north river etc, etc, etc .........
If I didn't know better Jeff, I might offer the possibility that Harney might produce better than Monroe this year.
I'm still trying to locate that honey spot there, sooner or later the crowd will show up.
The other day when we went (on a Sunday) day after you and HS went and slayed em, we got only
six, as we were loading up after fishing there was a black fellow there coming out too, in a little
blue Ghenooe (sp), he also only got six, but said the day before, he limited out, and pulled out
one of his six to show, I swear that fish was 15-16", a real monster.....
Only thing I can figure was that that Sat there was a front approaching and on Sunday it had passed,
perhaps that might've caused the strong bite on Sat .........

P.S. --> Oh yeah, was beautifully crispy this morning (Sun) 65 degrees on back porch, wanted to hook up
and get back out there ......

Blue Gheenoe knows the lake & river as well as any local in that area, If you see him it's a good bet they've been biting!

It was great to see everyone & get together !! Sorry I am just now posting but I have been havin computer & internet issues at the house.

It definitely was a slow day & Monroe just hasn't been giving up the big ones yet. We stuck it out in the lake, had some wind to start but not bad, had to reel

in again & clean the grass off every rod about every 10-15 mins. Congrats to all, Hope to see ya'll again soon !!

The finest gift you can give to any fisherman is to put a good fish back, and who knows if the fish that you caught isn't someone else's gift to you?"

The day started off slow.... as expected. The water was manageable and became even better, wasn't half as bad as I was expecting according to the weather man.

Couldn't catch squat the first 60-90 mins, than realized the only thing they wanted from me was a spinner bait moving at a fairly decent clip (1.1 - 1.3).

ended up putting 34 in the boat all mostly small but healthy looking. Ended up with spinners on all poles and managed 5 worth weighting.

Still was a great day to be on the water and I sure did have a good time seeing everyone.

Thanks again to Mike and John for all their efforts as always!

It was an awesome day to be on the water.
