I too was sorry to not get a chance to see everyone. I was looking forward to it. Between work and the Granddaughter and wife's birthday gathering I was shot. Soon........

It was work for sure....I've never been so happy to see that fifth fish!! I think it was 12 boats turned out. Like Mr. Monroe (HS) said I did a little of everything too. Great to see everyone and see some new faces too. Looking forward to a repeat!!

Was nice to see all you guys again, and good meeting new faces too.
Sorry, a couple folks I forgot names, I used to brush up my memory on the
member/pics page, but it has disappeared....

We came over the 17/92 bridge early and I told Matt (fishin partner) "look down there, those guys are already on the water".
There were several boats with running lights on heading for the channel, we whipped in and got in line, then this fellow came by us and
I realized, "hey, there was another ramp over there, so we took off behind that fellow, and, got to the front of the line and saw everyone
was just sitting there, nobody was putting in at the ramp, I was incredulous (what kind of idiots are holding up the line?) ..
Anyway, we put in and took off, didn't see anybody I recogonized etc, etc, etc .......
So, wasn't sure how that "fruit-jar" thing was supposed to work, didn't figure we'd place anyway so wasn't worried about it .......

We had come over to Monroe bout a week ago and landed three nice sized slabes (13"rs) and that's it .........
Went to Harney a couple three times on back, we got one, then three, then six, then back to three, then decided to hit Monroe.
Is sure weird that they arn't biting good yet in Monroe ........
Guess we're gonna have to have a good cold snap (I'm sure ready for some crispy weather) best time of the year .....

I think Matt and I are going to hang around the house over here for awhile and see if we can find some Redfish ......

    Later, take care,
    Danny

P.S. ---> Yeah, ya'll were talking about Redfish in lake George, I can add that I caught a nice sized stingray there on the north side of lake Harney, bout two years ago ..........

You may be looking for a repeat, BUT I ain't. I tried the river, then the lake. Calm, little mist, wind, bouncing waves, stranded boat in channel in lake that need to be rescued. NOTE: DON"T take your boat out on Lake Monroe to test out your mechanic skills on your boat motor. Grand parents and grand children. All is safe and back on dry ground.

    Glad to see you PHANTOM.

    Dad gummed ! ! !
Had my camera with me, but forgot to pull it out .............
We stayed our whole time over there in HS's hole by the OPP ........
Tried the east side a week ago but didn't even get a bite, so,
headed back to the old honey hole ..........

I made it to the corner by marker 8 and was met with stiff wind and rough water, ducked back in the river mouth and pulled back to the bridge and kept headin north. Just was not up to fighting winds today. That hole at the opp has not treated me well yet this year. Fish are there I just cant make em cooperate.
