Also, that's a 598 Humminbird DF bracket. I'm THINKING I need to move it to the center. Is that critical?

OK, i've joked........but.........
I can't figure out where to mount these two Spiderloks.......... I hate to drill holes twice.
The biggest problem I have is that I THINK this boat has the front seat(s) too far back from front of bow. That's cause there is storage under feet if sitting in front. I can either
A) mount them close to front deck and have max amount of pole in the water, but maybe have to get out of seat(s) to set hook and grab rods
or
B) Mount closer to seats, and be able to better deal with rods and fish and such, but have less of rods sticking past boat.
I'm leaning to B.
BUT, I'm almost thinking I need to take these out on the water and sort of see how it would work before mounting. Problem is, I can't really figure out how to do that, realistically.
Serious question........are there any measurements for how far back they should be from front? Or how far from seats? Are there any true numbers folks have come up with? Youtube got me one old guy describing it, but never really gave much info.
Here's the front of my boat. The Spyderlok is NOT mounted, just stuck up there to see what it looked like.
Any help is appreciated.

If you have to get up to grab a rod.....your probably going to miss the fish. I have mine about 6 in. In front of my knees....I can grab a rod without having to lean way forward. Some people put seat bases in there compartment doors but you have to be sure the hatch door will latch down good or the door could hinge open and throw you in the lake whne you lean in the seat to the outside.

OK thanks. That helps.
Not sure what the sentence about Regiment doors meant............... but I do have 3 built-in seat pedestal holes.........the boat is made for double seats up front......you can see one empty pedestal just stuck in the one hole.
Guess I need 38' rods..........

Buck rub, get you a piece of plywood that you can move around. Mount holders to it. Sit in seat and move it around so yo can get best fit. Might need a couple of sand bags or something to hold it where you can put a rod in it. Like G said about 6 in in front of and level with knees seems to be most comfortable and easiest to set hook. I had some mounted forward in my old boat, found myself leaning forward all the time so I could reach them. Just killed my back after about half a day.
Making a bracket, moving finder more to center and up would make it much easier to see and more comfortable also.

I would mount them as far forward as possible and get one of these. Custom Built Double Seats, Dub-l-seat "Lite" - Dub-l-seat.com - Jackson, Ms
It will put you closer to the front of the boat.
I have 3 bases up front as well but the adjustable seat attachment allows you to move as close or far away as you want. I think the further your rods tips are from the front of the boat the better off you are especially in shallow water.
Sigh. Y'all are gonna break me! I'm on a Fixin' Income. As in........I'm fixin' to be broke!
So..........tell me something.........seems if I do this, as far back as my middle seat pin is.........that by the time I squinch those two outside seats up front, they're gonna be so close together I will barely be able to get a seat in the pin.
How close together are they when pushed forward??? The website doesn't give much info.
Go fishing, I dont find that the seats being so far forward is such an issue. Mine are back in the boat and I have no trouble catching fish. I hear this all the time but know folks that fish 10 foot rods and sit way back and will wax your but, long liners fish off the back, heck they run over the fish and then catch them right off the back of the boat.
