You do realize it is illegal to tamper with equipment that is NOT yours right? or in your mind you are exempt from such laws? you are making a BIG assumption that the lines are not checked regularly...............It sounds like you regulary check others lines and make it your job to " remove " fish from them!
That's a recipe for a disaster in the making when the owner spots you....................
Three can keep a secret................If two of them are dead! (Benjamin Franklin)
And I guess YOU are making the assumption that I give a crap? When the fish is past the point of being safe for human consumption, you better believe it is coming off, and guess what? The yoyo is going to the bottom of the lake.
And by the way, I never run or check someone else's lines. All of these photos are of abandoned lines, with fish/wildlife that was left to rot.
Its always better to be part of the solution than the problem Chris thanks for venting

I am totally against tampering with legal equipment whether I approve of it's use or not. But here I have cut down yoyos , trotlines , and limblines left unattended when water drops several feet and causes navigation hazards (hooks hanging eye level !). But be careful as Wildlife Officers may think they are yours if see you messing with them.
