I agree. That is not cool at all. What a shame.

I have always defended the the legal use of yo-yos. I grew up running them with my grandpa and hate the thought of them being outlawed due to laziness and lack of respect for the wildlife and the laws that protect it. Over the years I have battled abandoned limb lines, yo-yos, and trotlines while trying to fish. They get wrapped around your poles, hooks in your boat seats, lines in your trolling motor, your outboard. I cant even count all of the dead fish that I have removed from these abandoned lines, not to mention all of the nails and rebar that gets driven into trees and stumps to hang them from.Yet I have always felt that enforcement was the answer. After all, why should everybody suffer because of a few bad apples? Unfortunately, I am beginning to think that this is never going to happen. It just seems to me like the bad apples are in the vast majority nowadays. I was cruising across the lake today and this is what I saw:
Hadn't been dead more than a couple of hours. What a waste!
Not trying to get another yoyo debate going, just wanting to vent.

Get enforcements number , better yet post on Arkansas Game and Fish Facebook page !
I'm assuming the yoyos weren't marked?
I'd pay $1 apiece for unmarked yoyos. You'd probably not find many people claiming them even if they see you cutting them down.
I agree. It's an enforcement problem. I have said before, I'd rather see one less AG&FC visitor center and spend that money beefing up the enforcement ranks and nail some of these guys by hitting them heavy, heavy in the pocketbook and that would stop a lot of this flagrant disregard for the law!!!!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!![]()

Enforcement is definitely the only answer.....However without more game wardens it will never happen.. I think with the new minimum size limit on crappie coming to some lakes next month like Conway yo yo's should be illegal. No way a short crappie caught in one will be released in time to save it. They are indiscriminate fish catchers. Sad that folks won't police themselves and respect the resource.
Was that a Trumpeter swan!!!!! on that YO_YO???? WOW!!!!!
