I can also tell you this, I send many people to this site, but just like you said HHD, its the other sections within CDC that add the real value to this site. I'll even take it a step further, and say if you just used the search function, you'll have a hard time saying something that has been said a 100 times. You don't have to read to much into it... and it's not about being tight lipped, its about the members becoming friends and using a different platform of communication to communicate.
Well, you can use this platform too you know. Share pictures, don't need details. Heck with the search function, ask the questions again, bring life to the Indiana forum, please. There are always more friends to make. Can't ever have enough of them.

Slab, nobody will dispute the value your site has to ISM and crappie fishing! We appreciate the ability to use your site for the main communication between the members as well. So I guess, I may be at fault for not doing my part of the "give and take" and I apologize... But if ya get down here in the next couple weeks, I promise we'll have something to post.

The Mississippi thread on trolling crankbaits was epic. I know I will get chastised for saying this , but the Indiana forum went downhill with the creation of the Indiana slabmasters as this is undoubtedly has drawn the best crappie fishermen in the state, and they pretty much don't do any posting anymore unless it is to hawk their tournaments, sponsor's products, or sell guide services or something like that. I realize how the tournament game is played. Team9nine gets my vote for some of the best informative Indiana posts...from a fishing technique standpoint. As for me, I am trying to figure out those elusive Indiana walleye. And...btw...all the insider gewber talk doesn't really add to this thread .

Couldn't of said it better! I don't even know why I come here anymore. I guess the days of seeing fish pics, reports, learning and adding to the mix are over. Oh well....sponsors can exchange products with other sponsors I guess.

Everybody has the opportunity to make this site as good as it can be (just like everything in life, it is what you make it, depend on no one, and always get better anyway you can (even if you're making a mistake at the same time). This has absolutely nothing to do with "sponsors", absolutely nothing. It's more about spending countless hours of improving, every minute, research, development, trial and error... Never give up, and always take a kid fishing!

I have not fished in Indiana for quite a while now(born & raised a Hoosier). A PM like this crosses state lines IMO, and I would make it a point to tell everyone EVERYTHING ! I have told folks exactly how, what and where, knowing that most of them 1. will not do how I told them 2. wont use what I told them 3. wont go where I was. I have watched folks do this more than once. Some will always do it their way and others just do not believe. PM's like this will strain a relationship. If someone sent me a nasty PM, that person would NOT get any more help from me!!! Small rant over

I like reading about new lures and hearing stories of catches I give general hints to most who ask. I still have two packs of film left for my polaroid instamatic camera when that is gone I will try and figure out how to put pictures on here but I can t even figure out how to pm let alone put polaroids on here I have been to a few weigh ins for slabmasters billbob told me about trolling bandits and tom the guide talked about his slow trolling so even with out wasting my money I got some great info that helps when I fish
