I have used the EGO nets and had great success with them. The rubber net works great for double jig rigs and crank baits.

I have and like Ego with Rubber net. I use to use the regular net and hooks would get stuck. Rubber net is the key! Second thing, if the net does not float put enough pipe insulation wrapped with electric tape on handle to float it. A almost new EGO is a the bottom of Lake Murray!!!!!

I would think you could make one out of a swimming pool telescopic leaf skimmer and an existing net............

Guys, I did just that. I had an aluminum telescoping pole and I put a net on the end. I swapped out the nylon for a rubber net. Problem is the pole is pretty stout and with the added weight of the rubber net it was unwieldy when extended out to 10 ft. It was just danged hard to manage the weight of the combo with one hand, while lifting the fish on a on a 10 ft pole with the other.
