Walmart has different size post for the seats. My girls didn't like the tall 16" post, so I got them an 11" post.

I use those "pank" reels also. They are mid quality/low cost reels that really get the job done. Those pinnacles are pretty sweet as well, though I got my start with 6 BnM West Point poles, which I still have. They are tough glass poles that can bounce around in the bottom of the boat without getting broken.

Get you 4 of these reels and get 4 12 ft Pinaclle rods from Grizzly Jig for 60.00. Get a spool of 10 lb Hi Viz P-line from them. Spool up and go fishing. Work great to get you started and though they are kind limber you can still pull cranks with them. Then if you really like it you could upgrade as finances allow. Those rod holders will work fine.

I do not think you will be satisfied with those reels, and I would not be surprised if they did not last through a year. I bought some like that when first starting out, and they rusted so bad that I threw them away.

Those are the poles we are talking about, but for a few dollars more get those pink reels. Those little reels your not going to pull cranks with and they will not hold up.

What did you spray them with, WD-40?
