If u buy the better quality u can sell easily if u don't like. If u fish a good bit u will continue to upgrade so I suggest buying quality gear from the start. The reel is the least important part of the setup so u could go cheap there(slow trolling). I would recommend bnm pst 14 ft poles and high tech rod holders.

Check pictures of other guy's rig. Most will have the rod tips within a foot of the water. If you can't adjust those holders, Driftmaster makes some with a different angle. Main thing is get on the water and fish.
