Im not fishin if i cant feel the thump just like i wouldnt want to duck hunt if a mallard duck didnt respond to a duck call, or a gobbler to a call, I want to be in the heat of the moment centered on my skill and ability to trick the game. I also dont post pics on fackbook, or myface to brag about catchin fish on a yoyo but as grandpa says some people are funny like that.

Spider rigging is the same as seining. Seining brings back many memories. The first time I got snake bit was while seining. I like seining. We seined up many a crawdad to put on trotlines. We would have put them on yo yo's, but we were too poor back then to own any of those. Still too poor to own yo yo's, but manage to catch enough crappie seining OOPS I mean spider rigging to not go crappie hungry. I like single poling too, but according to my psychiatrist, I have disociative personality disorder and all my pesonalities like to fish. That is why you will see me with 8 poles going down the lake. It may look like spider rigging, but actually my 8 personalities are all single poling. I will say this, when I stay on my meds, I do spider rig, when I'm off my meds, it is each personality for itself.

This is nothing more than a stir the pot thread in my opinion. But just too entertain you spider rigging is hard work... it requires knowledge of electronics, boat control, speed, on the spot rigging and last but not least... staying with your equipment and actually fishing and most times only uses four-eight poles. It is truly an art form and allot more than tying a string to a tree or dock and letting it sit...Stir the pot Baby!!!
Stop patting your self on the back again Russ and go back to fishing. But truth is I've seen tons of slabs caught on trotlines. I knew an old man that used to trotline Crappie and sell them in early 1970's ! Guess your say'n Crappie fishing is harder than Bass fishing cause tournament rules are one pole and one artifical bait at a time for those guys.

I'll have to call Bull on that one. You know any good Crappie fisherman that fishes much catches way more than he can actually eat !

As always this type of thread only leads to someone getting mad and posting something they regret later so it locked.
