Well as I posted last week about my Sam Heaton breaking on the first fish, well I sent it back to basspro as advised by customer service at B&M told me to do, they got rod yesterday & I called this morning to find out when I would get new rod, they told me it would be 3 to 5 weeks cause thEy had to research it to see who was to blame. So not happy camper I called B&M & talked to jack wells & May have a new rod tomorrow or for sure by Monday said all this to just say that B&M are straight up folks

I bought a pair of Sam Heatons a couple of years ago to use longlining. I also broke one of mine just below the ferrule on the 1st fish I hooked. I took it back to where I bought it. The guy had to go to the back to get another one and motioned for me to come look at something. He had 2 other identical Sam Heatons that were both broken in the EXACT SAME SPOT. My rod was replaced with no issue but it was curious to have 3 of them broken in the exact same place by 3 different owners. I had to be concerned that there was a manufacturing defect with a group of rods. I've had no other issues with them. Great rods for longlining.

B and M/ Jack Wells are a class act, the rods don't seem to hold up to my abuse but when I have had a problem straight out of the package they have taken care of it. Use BGJPs to long line with but have found others for the more stressful adventures. Glad they got you taken care of Larry, not a BPS fan at all myself.

That's crazy, you buy one from the store and it breaks you walk through the door with recipt and they walk back get you a rod and send you out the door no questions asked.

Jack Wells is the best. BnM is the sites oldest sponsor. They have been supporting us for a long, long time.

I've been using B and M stuff since I was a kid. They are a great company with top notch, quality products.

Larry.....the rods are good but.....you do not know how they were treated in shipping from China over here or also being shipped to store....rod could have been damaged in shipping. You do not know how customers in stores treated them either. I have been useing BnM poles for years tho and never had a problem.
