Great week and great memories

Guys I got to spend the entire week fishing with my best friend MY DAD, we've always fished together and I can still remember like it was yesterday some 35 years ago my dad picking me up from school early to go fishing. Now I'm in my mid 40's and he's in his mid 60's and he and I spent the entire week just us camping, fishing and just talking and having a cold beer while grilling out. No words can explain how much this week meant to me. We didn't limit out a single time but that's not what this week was about. Pops is older and I have to set the cooler next to the boat so he can climb in and out but there's nobody else I'd want to fish with. Last night as we were talking about the week he laughed and said "you've had your old man fishing hard this week" and it hit me. My Pops isn't as young as he use to be, I can remember the days when I was just a kid fishing with him and ready to go, thinking how long is this guy going to stay out here. Now I'm that guy not wanting to leave. So we fished this morning and called it a week. We only had 18 keepers this AM but they were the best fish of the week, 18 good fish. I just wanted to share this. Thanks guys

It just does not get much better then that. Like you said it is not about the amount of fish but that you got to be with your Pops that is GREAT.

I forgot to add, twice this week we saw a bald eagle, today we actually saw one fly down and catch a fish, pretty awe inspiring.
