Don't worry about how long it keeps ice. It's all about how often you open it. I can't seem to tear it up. Had it 2 years use daily and never made repair. Bottom line. ..

I got a 50 as a gift. Only worth the money if you do 4 or 5 day trips. And if your pushing 270 like me the lid doesn't warp when I sit on it!

Love my 65 , won it in a raffle. The drinks seem to be colder in it. Sacrifice one bag of ice then it cooling.

My wife got a smaller one from work as a sales bonus, & we love it. Not sure how many qts, but it'll hold about 3 bags of ice. I use it for ice storage and use the ice refill my igloo as it melts. Keeps ice for days if you don't open it often. But I wouldn't have spent that much if I was buying unless I was going to be going out for several days at a time. Some of the knock-offs are probably just a good.

I freeze ice in the rubber made tubs with lids. Put a little water on outside and block slides out and reuse them. Caveat is make sure it's the rubber made and not sterilite as they get brittle and will bust on you. Rubber made works great in dish pan size or smaller

Have you ever kept it in the house before you take it out to see if that helps , I heard that keeping them cool inside your house in the A/C before using them makes all the difference

This is actually a good idea. I have checked into them before, but they were a little out of my price range. But since we are talking about spending $400 for a cooler, I may re-think it. I could probably find a decent one for around the same price.

I have the 65 and 35 and they are worth every penny. The 65 is heavy and we only use it for weekend trips. The 35 will hold a 30 pack a bottle of clamato juice and a bag of ice. That my friends is the perfect cooler of beverages. You can argue the cost of ice and how much you can buy and all that, but how much will you pay for that bag when your beer is hot and there is no store around.
