    Default Gewbers update

I mailed out a bunch of the Sample Gewbers today to those that requested it. For now I have enough going out. I'd like to get a response from this first batch that I sent out before I offer additional samples.

I'm not done sending out this first batch though, cause I ran out of envelopes. Getting more tomorrow. Hang in there guys, your Gewbers are coming.

If you're a little confused about this post, here's the original thread that I'm referring to here:

A soft, heavily scented bait that makes fish strike harder and hang on longer.
Basically fish food in a “Gummy Bear” style medium.
    Releases it's scent when wet.

Ed, I'm thinking you might try making them like a slim jim treat (long like a pencil), then users could cut a piece or they could come presliced. Then the little parts between the circles wouldn't be wasted. Just sayin. Danny

Thanks Danny. Great idea. Need a mold for that or have to figure out an extrusion process. Something to work on.

Received mine today! Thanks Slab. I'll be going in the morning and will let you know the results. Good idea on the slim jim suggestion. My first impression when I looked at them was, (I'll also report if this works), to try and either mold into a ball or something since its going to be pretty warm tomorrow or just poke the hook thru the little parts between depending on how big it is. Just thoughts but I'll report back on my findings. Again, Thanks for the opportunity to try them out Slab.

I received mine today and will give it a workout tomorrow eve. Mine wasnt precut so I figure to cut a thin slice and double hook it with a trailing tail. Any better ideas for hooking it?

No worries. That explains why it looked so much thinner than the pic. I am sure double hooking a small piece will work great if I can find the fish.

After 2 times fishing with gewbers, I must say I'm a fan. The first trip was one of those days that they were hitting only minnows, with 2 exceptions, and I tried about every color combo jig I had. I like the way gewbers stay on your hook vs. crappie nibbles which come off after a short time usually. The second time I fished with them the crappie were hitting about 50-50 jigs to minnows with, I'm going to say, 80% hitting the jig + gewber. The gewbers lasted thru more than one catch the majority of the time making them much better in my opinion not having to add them every.

Try an extrusion pasta maker for your extruder.... Wife uses hers to make dog treats. Squirts out tubes of her proprietary blend of pureed liver, garlic, egg and whole wheat flour. it is a stiff dough and she cuts the tubes about a foot long then oven bakes
