That's what I like willieg! Welcome aboard! The owner of Crappie.com insists that the site stay family oriented/friendly. Ed is a great guy and runs this site not to make money, but to allow things like this thread and the crappie camps to happen. He puts in many hours daily just to make sure we are all able to talk about our love for crappie. The Sponsors he has helps him to maintain the site with all updates needed.
I really feel that if each of us reach out somehow in our own community, we can make this the best trip these kids have ever had. Josh, thank you for bringing it to us and may God speed in the healing of your hand!

Willieg, thanks you so much for the offer and as you might now, we would love to have you help out with this. I live in Perkins, and I am not familiar with Hudson at all or the area. I have a couple friends with the OHP and the Fisheries dept, I am going to reach out to them to see if they have any life jackets to hand out. The only problem right now is time. I know as a group we can make this happen and I am willing to contact anyone I need to to ask for help. I do believe that they are under a pretty strict schedule. There is a meeting tomorrow and then I will be making contact on sunday with someone who is from Salina and is familiar with this camp and some of the info we are needing. I do appreciate everything so far guys and I know this is going to be a event to remember by all. I have a couple calls I need to return tonight to people that are asking about the event and I have spent some of today reaching out to sponsors.

Are they still doing a fishing leg of this activity. I heard on the grapevine that the fishing piece may not happen? True? False?

Frank300, as of right now it is still on. Talked with one of the camp helpers yesterday and there will be a meeting tomorrow evening that is strictly for the fishing event. Questions that will be addressed will include prizes, donations, fishing rods, boaters and release forms, volunteers that dont have a boat but want to help out for that day, life jackets, times, breakfast and lunch, rules for boaters, rules for kids and counselors, approx number of kids, and a few minor details. As soon as I get updated on this I will update the board. Again, as of yesterday the fishing event is still a go.
