Put me down as a helper, a boat ( I can fit a counselor and 1 child), and as a Sponsor through Bobo's. Let me know what type of stuff you will need and I will do everything in my power to make it happen. I may not have a whole lot but I can donate some tackle and if you have a silent auction, I am sure I can come up with something like that.
Years ago, my father and I helped out with the "Hook a Kid on Fishing" program through the wildlife department. It was a very rewarding experience to say the least.
Josh, I would also like to take a moment just to say "God Bless" you for doing this. It shows how big of a heart and how much character you have. May we all strive to match it in our lifetimes. Ranger, the same goes for you also.
Bobo
We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express in Pryor Creek (918-476-5400) which is just west of the lake about 9 miles. Rooms are starting at $87.00 a night for non smoking 2 queen beds. I will work on checking out on if there are other hotels close by and post the info when I get it.
I will be pulling cranks that day. I can only troll with 8 rods at this time, but it should keep the kids hopping!

Thanks Ledge. I'll bet with that many rigs out you will sleep well that night!
I've got a way in at the GRDA. I'll have them dump Grand and hold Ft. Gibson so Ledge can launch his boat. Watta think Ledge, 10 ft?
One of the engineering marvels of The Ark or Hydrotherapy is her shallow draft despite her enormous girth. Pretty sure Ledge could launch on a wet road and I know that in a pinch he can put in right off the bank with no ramp in sight. Hopefully the new propulsion system has not upset the delicate balance of this massive maid.
Guys, get on board with this! I'd like to see sponsored life jackets in the style of a tournament fisher made up. If anyone knows how to purchase on the cheap, get donations of life jackets, create e-mails to contact businesses in Tulsa that might help, etc. Perhaps a Zebco sponsorship for some rods for these kids? Start pulling the strings now! I have a contact through Channel Six in Tulsa that may be able to do a story on it while there is time. August 9th is just around the corner!
Josh, see if you can get a head count of about how many kids and their sizes. I know it won't be accurate so we'll have to have some extras on hand that could go to some of the kids of C.C if there are leftovers.
Any thoughts on this from anyone?

I am a long time reader of crappie.com, now I am a first time poster. This thread is what got me to become a member. I have live on Lake Hudson for many years and have heard many great things about the camp. Timing has not allowed me to participate in past years, but I hope to now. I am retired GRDA employee and believe GRDA has helped in the past with this camp. Justin Alberty is the contact person for GRDA. David and Debbie Matlock are the people that operate the park, and Jackie Ball is one you could contact from the Salina Fire Department. I could have two to three pontoon boats that morning Please contact me if you would like my help. I have neighbors and friends who are also willing to help.
Some hotels in the area within 15 miles: Best Western in Locust Grove. Comfort Inn Pryor, Days Inn pryor, Econo Lodge Pryor, HolidayInn Express Pryor, and there's a few others around.
