Maybe we need an Urban Bow season up there for the vultures?

I've heard they taste similar to spotted owl. Be sure to have your vulture stamp signed across the face and be hip registered. Let the vulture whacking begin. It sounds like Brewer is the best spot for the next vulture camp. Prizes will be given for the biggest vulture, and the largest stringer of vulture. There will be a rifled barrel as well as a smooth barrel division. Baiting will permitted on vulture camp weekend only. Steel pots and flack jackets recommended.
Problem solved.

Can't farmers get some kind of permit to kill deer that are ruining their crops? Seems like we ought to be able to get a permit to kill vultures that are destroying property! Ironic that the vultures are protected but you vehicle isn't!
My wife keeps saying I never listen to her....... or something like that!![]()

The vulture is a wildlife animal. Wild life officers should be notified to start a proceeding to take care of this problem. The birds are damaging personal property and hampering sportsmen on a lake that requires an Arkansas Fishing License. A depredation or netting procedure needs to be done. For me this problem rests with the Game and Fish commission they are the convening authority to handle wildlife problems in the State of Arkansas and have enforcement rights on the lake.

If one is found eating on my truck it ain't gonna be good news. Can't destroy a mans hard earned property and nothing be done. Might have to be a self defense case!
Never shot a vulture on a covey rise. Maybe they take off too fast for me to hit? I dunno.
But this can NOT be dumped back on Conway. They are not going to pave the parking lot or put in a trash barrel. They sure aren't going to come out there and chase off vultures! They'd laugh at such a suggestion.
Whoever decided these vermin are protected, needs to come protect them. The End.
I think they are federally protected as a migratory bird. I know they migrate by the thousands down into florida.
If it is a Fed bird then it sounds like the Fed's and the state need to get together and take care of the problem. Before it becomes a bigger problem. I agree tho it needs to be taken care of by one or both of these agencies. I haft to believe the AGFC or Fed wildlife agencies are better suited to handle this than the city of Conway. I am sure the city would not have any qualms about ridding the bird problem.
