No I'm sure I got the right wires connected or it wouldn't come on at all... The Lss-2 box is what occasionally doesn't come on. It came on every time but one last time I went fishing. And yeah, that's why I didn't use a switch, I'm the kind of guy that would forget that thing about every time.

When I keep my gratitude higher than my expectations I have a good day
I seem to be having some other issue with it also. When it first came on the picture was very good. I was standing there admiring myself for buying such a good unit... then a sort of "fog" look covered the screen. It just popped on there while I was watching it. So... maybe I'm going to have to call Lowrance. I'm going to take some pictures Saturday and see what everyone thinks of the shots and go from there.
Take some screen shots as well as photos.

No, the fogginess just came on the screen all at once like someone flipped a switch. It stayed that way the rest of the day... My lss2 box only comes on 2/3 of the time also so I'm thinking possibly there's a problem with the box... I was watching it when it did it. The whole screen did it at the same time. I'll take screenshots too. It is still viewable, and I can use it, but I don't think it looks as clear as it should. Especially since the first minute or so it looked perfect. I had some of these settings on auto, if the auto contrast doesn't do right will it give the screen that foggy look? I did notice on bbc that one guy posted his pictures on auto setting and his was clear like mine started out being though. But one of the other series of pictures looks like mine.

X2. I had a bad ethernet cable right out the box. I had the same problem and since I replaced the cable everything is good. My unit would say No Source for 10-30 minutes and then just start up. At 1st I thought it just had to "wake up" but that didn't make much sense. I moved my cable one day and the pic went away so I then knew it needed a new cable.
I get cloudy pics when I encounter algae blooms but yours doesn't really sound like that.

The fogginess was due to trolling motor interference somehow. I have the transducer on a pole next to it and if I have it turned just wrong it will show a bit of even electronic interference for some reason. But I have to have it turned just right towards the trolling motor. Another solution is to just raise the trolling motor a bit above the transducer.... I got worried for no reason.
Jimmie, does the LSS still not come on all the time? Or does it just take a minute or 2 every so often? I saw someone else asking the same question on another forum.
