Ow shucks just get you 8 14' cane poles try and make sure the joints are a foot apart then you can use them for depth also . All one piece no breaking done and long life . Them things will last for every . I seen a guy on the rez had about thirty out the sides and front and any where else he could stick . Go with the cane poles about 3 dollars apiece . Lol i bet wannabe would like this . He is that cheap . Lol

What do you folks have against using a net to land big fish? That's what Speck's for.:D

Interesting that rod tip sensitivity was mentioned in this thread because Speck and I were using 16 foot C & C`s this past weekend at Chotard with 1/4 ounce weights and some of the bites we were getting were sooooooo lite that we would hear the bead at the tip of the rod long before the rod tip would bend if it bent at all.

Alright guys I've got to ask. What is the bead your talking about. My buddy just sent me a text and ask me. I told him to ask y'all and he said it would be taking over a thread. I called him chicken stuff and by the way his name on here is aj306

Tell chicken stuff to ask his own dang questions!!!!

The bead will give a "CLICK" on a vey lite bite, alot of the time the pole wont move and you are tying to figure out which one it is. Really puts you on alert and will up your catch ratio quick.

Some put it between the second and third eye at the end of the pole and some put it between the next to the last and the tip. Use a bead like the carolina rigs for green carp fishing.
