    Default Muddy and cold water

Had a great time fishing with GeneC on Saturday at Buggs. Conditions were really tough. We faced cold muddy water, water temp from 38 to 43. Snow on the ground at the lake after a day of heavy cold rain. We managed to catch around 40 fish, most were on the small side but a few decent fish in the mix. Besides at this time of year you never know when you may catch a monster. The weather was really nice and as always I learned a few new tricks from Gene. You really had to almost force feed the fish to get them to bite. All fish caught on jigs from 6 to 10 feet deep. We tried it all. It was great to be out and laugh and have a good time on the water. Overall not that many boats out. With the upcoming good looking weather the fish should really turn on any day now. Gene can't wait to do it again!

Nice catching, I understand Gene is going to have a new requirement for big fish of the day. Thirty -five days and counting till Grassy Creek.

Great day fishing to both of you. I and side kick was on Buffalo with not good results. I was a tough day at best. Everybody told us that last weekend was top notch. The "SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE LAST WEEK".
