Had a great time fishing with GeneC on Saturday at Buggs. Conditions were really tough. We faced cold muddy water, water temp from 38 to 43. Snow on the ground at the lake after a day of heavy cold rain. We managed to catch around 40 fish, most were on the small side but a few decent fish in the mix. Besides at this time of year you never know when you may catch a monster. The weather was really nice and as always I learned a few new tricks from Gene. You really had to almost force feed the fish to get them to bite. All fish caught on jigs from 6 to 10 feet deep. We tried it all. It was great to be out and laugh and have a good time on the water. Overall not that many boats out. With the upcoming good looking weather the fish should really turn on any day now. Gene can't wait to do it again!

YES RON,IT LOOKS LIKE THAT EVERYONE THAT GOES WITH ME LATELY GETS THE BIG FISH BUT THAT IS BECAUSE I GET THE LITTLE ONES OUT OF THEIR WAY,HAVE TO BE GOOD TO GET THOSE LITTLE ONES AWAY.DON DID THE SAME THING,I THINK I AM GOING TO PUT A SIGN ON MY BOAT THAT SAYS THE ONE WHO CATCHES THE BIG FISH OF THE DAY BUYS OUR LUNCH
.THEN MAYBE THEY WILL SHAKE THEM OFF,YES ROY IT WAS A TOUGH DAY FOR US,TRIED TO SEE WHO DID WELL SAT AND SO FAR HAVE NOT SEEN ANY

Great day fishing to both of you. I and side kick was on Buffalo with not good results. I was a tough day at best. Everybody told us that last weekend was top notch. The "SHOULD HAVE BEEN HERE LAST WEEK".
