Yea it is very hush hush since congress is getting ready to vote on deregulating coal ash completely making the energy companies 100% not at fault for anything that results from the dumping of the ash. By the way that big mountain sitting right at the hot ditch, coal ash sitting right on the Elizabeth river. The ash is already deregulated they now just want absolutely no responsibility for what it does in the future. As always big money rules.

Hope it dosent effect fish too bad at buggs this spring. I make yearly trip to lake every year to crappie fish. Will be my 4th trip to buggs. Not only is it tuff to fish a lake thats unfamiliar but now this crap gotta happen. What do you think doc?
Sounds like that burning desire I have had to make a trip to Kerr can be snuffed out now. Only problem is I'll see it here at home eventually. All that water comes to Most of the waters I fish.CF

I wouldn't cancel any trips or plans yet. keep a check on this board an see how it affects the fishin, I'm gettin some encouragin reports already. The COE seems to be holdin the lake so a lot of the ash should settle in the upper lake where the water first starts backin up. there is already a lot of silt settled in this area and the folks in the know say this stuff bonds with mud an sinks to the bottom. As much water exchange that occurs in this watershed may lessen the effect to where there is no noticable change in the overall fishin. being a fisherman at heart, I'm always optimistic!
